Bits and pieces

I don't know about other scrappers, but I have sheets of cardstock that I experiment with. Some of them I love, others I chuck in the bin and most land in the land of "hhmmmm I might use that one day" ;) .

I pondered over my pile (aka tower) of cardstock 'backgrounds' and decided I needed to use them!

These are the creations :) 

Here I've used the remaining part of a die cut sheet and misted the background, then doodled around the misted shapes with a sharpie.

This is the actual diecut sheet from the layout above. I've torn it up a bit, sprayed more colours and attached it with staples. 

This has *** got *** to be my most favourite layout in a long time!!! 
Quite serendipitous really. The background was an experiment which came from the pile (aka tower :) ), but the rest of it came together in about 3 minutes from items on my scrap table. Including the ♥you chipboard piece I designed for Words or Whatever.
The beautiful, magical, wonderful, talented, inspiring Lisa Oxley...... I just cannot get enough of this girl.

Scraplifting is fun

Here to show you a few more pieces that I made at the ScrapbookingFromScratch Lakeside retreat a few weeks ago.

These were created for a challenge to scrap-lift the wonderful Gina Rogers. I've been an admirer of Gina's work for a long time, so it was a great opportunity and I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun it was.

I've sprayed the chipboard with watered down gesso first, then coloured with dylusions colour sprays 

 For something a little different, I've adhered the chipboard to the layout with some gesso :)

A mix of old and new stash.
I haven't fully leaped into PL just yet, but I've been having fun using the cards on layouts too.  So easy to slip in behind a photo and layer up some colours.
